17-Year WordPress Business | 33K Email List | 121 Annual Subs ($9K from recurring) | 18.5K Users

Established in 2009, this WordPress software business provides professionally developed themes, plugins, directory solutions, and website-building tools to customers worldwide. The portfolio includes mature WordPress products serving directory market. Its products help customers create flexible, professional websites without extensive coding knowledge. 17-Year WordPress Business | 33K Email List | 121 Annual Subs ($9K from recurring) | 18.5K Users The acquisition includes the mature software products, complete source code, domains, customer relationships, Google Analytics data, and assets associated with its AppSumo and ThemeForest distribution channels, subject to the platforms’ transfer requirements. This is an established digital asset with low fixed operating costs and considerable scope for a buyer with the time and resources to actively market and develop it. KEY HIGHLIGHTS ✅ Operating since 2009 ✅ 125 live recurring revenue ✅ $9k came from reccuring in the last 12 months ✅ Approximately 33,000 email subscribers ✅ Mature portfolio of WordPress themes, plugins, directory tools, and website-building products ✅ High domain authority ✅ 10 New addons to sell to existing userbase (/lp/directory-addons/) ✅ Only approximately $15 per month in core hosting costs ✅ Auto-renewal issue recently identified and corrected ✅ Significant opportunities to reactivate previous sales channels and rebuild recurring revenue REVENUE AND RECENT PERFORMANCE The business generated approximately $13,000 in revenue during the last 12 months. In September 2026, the owner discovered that an error in the subscription code had prevented eligible customers from being automatically rebilled for more than a year. The issue was difficult to identify because revenue from new customer sales continued to mask the loss of renewals. The code has now been corrected. At the time of listing, the business has generated $796 in September revenue. The business also previously generated approximately $300–$500 per month through AppSumo. This sales channel is currently inactive because the owner has not had sufficient time to manage or promote it. REASON FOR SELLING The owner operates other companies that now require the majority of his time and attention. As a result, this business has not received the consistent marketing, product development, or distribution effort needed to reach its potential. The sale will allow a new owner to focus on reactivating the existing audience, rebuilding recurring revenue, and growing the established product portfolio. GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES For growth, I see two main opportunities. First, give the theme and Pro plugin free, existing users have already paid for them so it prove it as value, then upsell them to the new add-on(/lp/directory-addons/) subscription. Second, list the theme on ThemeForest with a lifetime deal covering the theme and Pro plugin, excluding the Pro add-ons. Both products are already proven, so the goal is to generate upfront sales through lifetime deals and then convert those customers into recurring revenue by upselling the add-ons. It’s the same strategy as offering the Pro plugin for free through the WordPress.org directory and monetising through the add-ons. I think the biggest opportunity lies in the existing user base. I'm currently looking at payment issue and answer to your question.

Asking Price Reasoning
The $13,997 asking price is approximately 1.1× the business’s $13,000 trailing 12-month revenue. $9K came from recurring revenue. 18K websites currently use our product, 17 years online. Many customers originally bought one-time theme plans. I’ve since created 10 add-ons that could be offered to those customers, alongside a potential hosted solution. There are also opportunities to recover existing revenue: a coding error that blocked automatic subscription renewals for over a year was identified and fixed in September 2026. Revenue has reached $796 so far this month. AppSumo previously generated $300–$500 per month but is currently inactive because my focus has shifted to other businesses. With hosting costs of approximately $15 per month, a buyer would acquire a low-overhead software portfolio with several specific ways to grow revenue.
