Live aircraft radar software with 340+ active devices and proven organic demand

A desk-based aircraft radar software product for aviation enthusiasts that turns an affordable off-the-shelf display into a live tracker showing aircraft flying overhead using ADS-B flight data from an open-source API. Customers purchase a $20 one-time software license, source the compatible hardware independently, and install the software through a browser-based flashing process. The product has demonstrated demand primarily through organic TikTok content, with hundreds of customers assembling and actively using their own devices. Key Highlights ✅ 386 software licenses sold with 340+ customer-assembled devices currently in use ✅ $20 one-time license model using approximately $50 of readily available third-party hardware ✅ Viral organic traction with one TikTok video exceeding 1.2M views and ~330 comments ✅ Approximately 60% of customers are US-based, followed by the UK and wider European markets ✅ Two TikTok accounts with approximately 17.5K and 1.6K followers included in the sale ✅ Growth opportunities through complete physical device sales, email marketing, SEO, marketplaces, and paid acquisition

Asking Price Reasoning
The business is 12 weeks old, so any multiple of TTM is a multiple of a partial year. The last 28 days include two weeks where nothing was posted and still ran 158 sales, about $3,300, which annualises to roughly $43,000 revenue and $35,000 profit. At $29,000 that is under a single year's profit, and 0.67x annualised revenue against the 1.8x Acquire suggests for Digital. Priced to sell quickly, not to negotiate.

  • PlatformIO
No frameworks, no build pipeline and no dependencies of consequence. The API is a single Cloudflare Worker over a D1 database, the site and browser-based flasher are vanilla JavaScript, and the device firmware is C++ on the ESP32-S3 built with PlatformIO. Total running cost is about $20 a month.
Growth Opportunities
  • New product features
  • Increase pricing
  • Focus on SEO
  • Improve conversion rates
  • Increase digital marketing
The largest opportunity is not on this list. Every customer already buys the $50 display board elsewhere, so that revenue leaves the business and the customer waits a median 75 hours for a part. Selling the assembled device at $129 models roughly $67.50 contribution per unit against $17 today, on identical traffic. It is untested and is not priced into the asking price. Untried secondary levers: the 386-buyer list, email marketing, SEO, marketplaces and affiliates. Paid acquisition has had about $100 spent on it in total, far too little to draw any conclusion from.

Selling Reasoning
  • Starting a new venture
I am more interested in building products than marketing them. The product works and it sells; what it needs next is an owner who enjoys distribution - the buyer list, partnerships, marketplaces, and the assembled device that nobody is selling yet. I would rather be building the next thing, and this one is worth more in the hands of someone who wants that job. Everything transfers: the codebase, the domain, the Cloudflare infrastructure and database, both TikTok accounts, and the content format that produced every sale so far.
